New and Improved U.S. National Debt Clock

I think the years-old website for the U.S. National Debt Clock is still getting more hits than my weblog, so I finally decided to do something about it—specifically, I decided to give them a little free market competition.

First, you should click on the link above to see the snazzy, attention-grabbing design that was chosen for that site.  Who am I to argue with success?  I think that design has a lot going for it, so I borrowed some of the look-and-feel for my New and Improved U.S. National Debt Clock, below.
